Columb/Calwell is the dynamic duo Melbourne needs, a team to restore clout and independence to Town Hall, to steer Melbourne back to its hard-earned rank as the world's most liveable city.

Nick Columb and Sue Calwell need little introduction. They have a real passion for Melbourne, a vision and an eagerness to serve. They carry no political baggage, owe no political favours. They believe personal interests and agendas don't belong in Town Hall, that the ratepayers and residents' interests should always come first.

Nick has a high profile as an achiever in business and sport. He is straight-talking, innovative and effective. He lives, works and breathes Melbourne.

Sue founded the Melbourne Tourism Authority, created its convention/exhibition industry, driving the resurrection of Melbourne's image. She is a city retailer.

Nick & Sue & our Council Passion team - headed by Melbourne's most committed councillor, Fiona Snedden, will introduce an eagle-eyed approach to budgeting, slash waste and reject unwanted projects - restore integrity and timeliness to Council services - give Docklands and Lygon Street a bigger voice - open Swanston Street on weekdays - make our streets safe at night.

Rarely has there been such a qualified and Council-ready team assembled on one ticket.

Passion for Melbourne's lineup comprises:

Cr. Fiona Snedden, who has fought Council's lack of fiscal responsibility, voting against two budgets. She champions electoral reform and believes Council should be accountable to ratepayers and residents and has worked diligently to give our neighbouroods the representation they deserve, but sadly lack.

Keith Rankin, whose business and home is in the Docklands, has for five years been an active member of the Docklands Police and Community Consultative Committee and currently chairs the Whole of Ports Safety and Environment Committee and the Docklands Chamber of Commerce.

Vernon Chalker, who operates several of the city's respectable licensed establishments is passionate about the responsible service and consumption of alcohol and supports a greater understanding of Melbourne's problem areas and increased cooperation with the Victoria Police. He is passionate about retail and attracting more tourists.

Wellington Lee is a Melbourne legend who in previous terms on Council introduced Citysafe cameras, supported clean city strategies and graffiti elimination.

All four live in Melbourne and share the Passion vision of a safer, more vibrant capital and a Town Hall that does more with less.
